(More customer reviews)I was in desperate need of a new carving board and I only use wood. After careful research and reviewing other reviews; I purchased this board. The size is excellent and it is reversible; however there is no way to keep the board intact without it sliding. As I am a professional cook; I did what I normally do at work; I put a wet rag under it to hold it intact. Works well; until you remove the rag and let the board dry and "breathe." Within a few hours the board cracked and split on the backside. It warped. Considering the price; I would not recommend it. I still use it; but have had to make adjustments; such as using a dry rag; but it is warped. Very disappointed.

Finger slots cut in for easy lifting. This is the board you'll use day in and day out for years to come. Snow River is best known for producing premium wood cutting boards that are hand finished by experienced craftsmen. The wood is dried in a tightly controlled process to ensure a consistent moisture content which is critical in avoiding wood cracks and splitting. All sawdust from production is recycled into wood pellets for pellet stoves. Overall size of 12-Inch by 18-Inch by 1-1/4-Inch.
