(More customer reviews)Honestly, I keep this stuff cause it not only does the job cleaning and polishing wood surfaces, it blows the heck out many other cleaners for removing tough grunge and junk that only turpentine or alcohol can only attempt to remove. It does it safely and within seconds - no scrubbing or waiting - and it smells great.
This stuff is so good, that its become a staple in my cleaning supplies - and usually not for cleaning wood. (Although it does well for that.)
I've used it to safely:
1. Gently and quickly clean off the old thermal paste of my CPU heatsink. I tried with alchohol first, but that stuff wasn't budging. A tiny bit of OGWP on a paper towel went a long way. (I wiped the OGWP residue off with alcohol to make sure I had a clean/non-oily surface) The stuff came off in seconds without scrubbing. Yes, call me crazy for attempting something that crazy, but my CPU has been happily working for days now without a hitch.
2. Remove the protective "grease" (?) layer on new construction tools (surface of table saws, planers, etc.). The manufacturers warned against using turpentine, so we tried using Simply Green for an hour and still had residue, then finally the Orange Glo WP. That's when we discovered how awesome this cleaner/polish is. Since then, my hubby confiscated the bottle for his own and I had to buy another one.
3. Remove old spray glue overspray residue off our laminated desk. (Once again, in seconds - no scrubbing.) I will admit, I purposely didn't fear the adhesive overspray as I knew this stuff would talk it off quickly. It did.
4. Remove stubborn stains off of any non-porous surface, including grease and grime junk. (Stove, countertops, spots on the floor, etc.)
It's insane, but whenever I come up to a stubborn grunge or residue that I feel only turnpentine can remove, this stuff works like magic and eliminates in seconds. No hard work needed. It will leave a oily residue behind (it's meant to polish the wood), so you don't want to leave this on floors (slip hazard)or on porous surfaces (it will be absorbed). However, much of that residue can be removed from any non-porous surface with some typical spray surface cleaner.
Now that I think about it, I have some old bumper sticker adhesive on the back of my car that I'm going to use this stuff on. I don't doubt it will be gone in moments.
This stuff is incredible for more than just for cleaning and polishing than wood. It safe, easy, and more than effective for all kinds of grime, sticky gunk and goo, and stubborn grease. I love this stuff and highly recommend it. It should be a staple for every home cleaner.
