(More customer reviews)Have you ever worn out a snow shovel ?
Here in Buffalo we do so selecting a new snow shovel is a big thing especially since "they don't make them like they used to". My last snow shovel was similar but had a metal strip on the edge. That strip fell off because the friction from the driveway wore down the screws holding it on the blade. So this time I'm going all plastic with no metal strip. Plastic is OK, lighter than metal which makes a difference in throwing, but needs to be the right type or it will chip along the edge and the edge will wear down too fast. I've only had this for one month so the 4 stars is preliminary. The plastic seems a little light, lightest I've ever bought, but time will tell.Ditto for the screw which holds the handle end to the blade, looks like they designed it for quick production and not durability. Again, time will tell. On the plus side I bought this because it was light, had the correct angle for easy pushing, had an improved pushing handle which, if/when the plastic blade wears out, I can use on my next snow shovel. Might last only one or two seasons - we'll see if the plastic is heavy enough. Will get back to you in a few weeks which I expect translates into roughly 60 inches of snow.
