(More customer reviews)Wright's Silver Cream is by far the best silver paste on the market, similar to jeweler's rouge.It works best on dust-free silver and I like to use old flannel material to buff with rather than the enclosed sponge.If you leave the lid loose and it dries up just add a little water.The active ingredient is silicon dioxide (sand) which is why you can use a little toothpaste to clean a piece of silver jewelry in a pinch.
Any silver paste will remove a tiny bit of silver so repeated polishings over many years will erode inexpensive plate.It is, after all, mechanical friction that removes the tarnish.This paste will even remove a mild pit or two caused by contact with salt or maybe impurities in the metal although it requires a good deal of effort.
I have been using this brand for many years and highly recommend it.
