(More customer reviews)This is everything I hoped it would be - and more.The ice scraper end is special only in that it has a really long extensible pole attached, so it reaches any part of the windshield without requiring me to lean against the icy wet car.
The amazing business end of this device swivels quickly (time: half a second) and easily to any angle, but I'll probably use only the straight in-line setting and the 90-degree angle.The in-line setting is great for sweeping snow off the top of the car.Then I swtich to the 90-degree angle for use like a bulldozer on the front and back windshields.Then back to the in-line setting for the hood and trunk areas.
The best part is the business end having both a brush and a rubber squeegee.The squeegee is perfectly safe for the car's finish, so no risk clearing your entire car before driving.In fact, I cleared every bit of my car - including the headlights - and drove away before my neighbor could clear his windows.
The plastic shovel attaches quickly and securely to the scraper end, and the extensible pole enhances its use, but the it's not a shovel I'll use except in emergencies.The yellow plastic shovel attachment ships as shown in the picture, attached by zip ties you must snip upon opening.After that, the shovel piece does not re-attach as pictured - only onto the scraper when you want to shovel.Just keep it in the trunk in case you get stuck on the road and need to shovel some volume of snow away from the tires.
