(More customer reviews)I could not tell from the product illustrations which replacement carafe I needed so I took a cup measure and poured water into my existing carafe that has a broken spout.The carafe accepted 3 cups to just below the top band and I ordered the 3 cup replacement.I learned that the interpretation of 3 cups doesn't have much to do with actual fluid capacity - the "3 cup" replacement is full to the brim with 1 1/2 cups.So, a cup is not a cup - this ought to be made clear in the product descriptions.Better yet, why don't they just publish an accurate fluid volume?
