(More customer reviews)This is one tough snow shovel. It's heavy gauge steel with a strong wood handle. But, it's really only good for pushing snow around. Use this to push the snow along concrete or asphalt and then if you need to pile snow up, use something else. My last driveway was up against the house and I shared it with the next door neighbor. I had to push most snow the length of the house before I could pile it up. This saved a lot of time. On my new drive I can just push the snow off to each side - a task this shovel is ideal for. I use two shovels; this one to push the snow around and an aluminum "feed and grain" style shovel to move piles. Give it a shot of silicone spray before shoveling and the wet snow will peel right off. Much quieter than a blower and good exercise as well.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the rivets started to loosen after the first season - but after retightening them, everything is fine. You should also give it a coat of primer to keep any bare metal from rusting at season's end.
